Dolphin Nose is another popular attraction of Kodaikanal. The aptly named ‘Dolphins nose’ is a rocky hill cliff that offers a bird’s eye view of the picturesque beauty of Kodaikanal. Visiting this place in the morning or early afternoon gives a beautiful view of the mist hanging longingly amongst the clouds.
Kodaikanal Solar Observatory is another major attraction located at the southern tip of the Palani Hills. It is a small, domed white building that is as old as Kodaikanal itself, offering a scenic and beautiful view for those with a passion to see the stars. Another popular attraction is Pillar Rocks, which is a set of three giant rock pillars standing 400 feet high from the ground.
Guna Cave is also one of the famous tourist spots in Kodaikanal. The cave is formed between two large Pilar Rocks, and this large, dark and ancient cave is also known as Devil’s Kitchen. The path to Guna Cave passes through a beautiful pine forest with roots of the trees emerged on to the ground providing unique setting to this place.
