Do visit the Archaeological Museum of Hampi displaying numerous sculptures and assorted antiques. The museum was set up by the Archaeological Survey of India who kept some noteworthy antiques here in 1972. The museum has 4 galleries apart from a Central Hall. Here you can see sculptures of Virabhadra, Bhairava, etc., apart from an array of antiquities like armory, copper plate grants, metal objects, brass plates, etc.
Monkey Temple is another prominent attraction of Hampi holding great religious significance. Monkey temple is at a distance of 4 km from Hampi and houses a statue of Lord Hanuman apart from shrines of Lord Rama and Devi Sita. Vijaya Vittala Temple is another religious place here raised in 15th century AD. The temple has an elaborate campus. The main temple features pillared halls, a huge stone chariot, etc. Also visit the grand Virupaksha Temple dedicated to Lord Virupaksha. The architecture of this temple is jaw dropping and it belongs to the 7th century. Visit here to enjoy sights of its decorative structures. Architecture lovers must also explore Hampi Bazaar located at the foothill of the Matanga Hill. Here you will see ancient shops and a nursery school for the village kids which is one of the oldest nursery schools.
Another wonder of Hampi is the Queen's Bath, a rectangular complex in Indo-Saracenic style of architectural style, nestling with a big water channel. In old times, this pool used to be filled with water and flowers.
